New Year, New Goals: My Game Technology Exploration Plan for 2025
发布时间:2025/1/28
Happy New Year! 🎉 2025 is here, and as a game technology enthusiast, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on my progress over the past year and share my plans for learning and development in the coming year. I hope this article inspires you, and I’d love to hear about your goals for the new year in the comments!
Looking Back at 2024: My Technical Growth
2024 was a year full of challenges and achievements for me. I experimented with many new technologies and, of course, encountered my fair share of pitfalls (laughs). Here are some highlights worth noting:
1. Exploring Graphics Rendering
I spent a lot of time last year learning about graphics rendering, from the basics of OpenGL to more modern techniques like Vulkan and real-time rendering. While there’s still a lot I don’t understand, I’m proud to have built a few simple renderers! 😄
2. Dabbling in Physics Engines
I started exploring physics engine development, learning the basics of physical simulation, such as rigid body dynamics and collision detection. Although I’m still at the beginner level, the complexity of physics engines fascinates me.
3. Developing Small Games
I also worked on a few small game projects last year. While they were modest in scale, completing each one gave me a great sense of accomplishment. Seeing my friends play my games was incredibly rewarding.
Looking Ahead to 2025: My Technical Goals
For the new year, I’ve set some technical learning goals. I hope these will help me grow further in game development, and I’d love to progress alongside all of you!
1. Diving Deeper into Graphics Rendering
Graphics rendering is a vast and deep field, and in 2025, I plan to continue my studies, particularly in real-time ray tracing and global illumination techniques. If time allows, I’d like to build a more complex renderer using Vulkan and explore advanced rendering tricks.
2. Exploring Physics Engines in Depth
Physics engines have always intrigued me, and in 2025, I aim to start from the basics, gradually understanding the principles of physical simulation and attempting to implement a simple physics engine from scratch. If I make progress, I’ll share it here on Creative Workshop!
3. Developing a Complete Game
Last year, I worked on a few small games, but this year, I want to develop a more complete game—even if it’s small in scope, it should have a full gameplay loop and story. If I make progress, I’ll document the development process here and share my insights.
Creative Workshop’s Plans for 2025
Creative Workshop is where I document my technical learning and development journey, and in 2025, I’ll continue to update it regularly. Here’s my plan for the new year:
1. More Technical Notes
I’ll keep sharing notes from my learning process, especially on graphics rendering and physics engines. I hope these notes will be helpful to others with similar interests.
2. Development Logs
If I start working on new games or tools, I’ll post regular development logs, documenting the challenges I face and how I solve them. After all, stumbling through problems is part of the learning process!
3. Technical Sharing
Whenever I come across interesting technologies or tools, I’ll share them here. Whether it’s code snippets, tool recommendations, or small tips, I hope they’ll be useful to others.
Closing Thoughts
2025 is a year full of excitement for me. Whether it’s learning new technologies or developing new projects, I hope to maintain my passion and keep improving. I also hope Creative Workshop can become a platform for more tech enthusiasts to connect, learn, and grow together.
Finally, Happy New Year to everyone! May your code have fewer bugs and more creativity! 🚀
